On their website, they have several methods of determining how to calibrate
your speedometer. I just ordered a speedomater ratio box from them about two
weeks ago, installed it a week ago and finally after all these years, I can
reliably read the speedometer on my '66 when cruising!!!
In your situation, I can bet you'll need a ratio adapter box. Just changing
the driven gear probably won't work for you. The tranny I put in my '66 SS
was originally in a car that had 2.73 gears. My Chevelle has 4.10. There
wasn't a driven gear made for my TH350 that would fix the error difference.
So, it was either change the drive gear (rip apart the
transmission.....neh), or buy this ratio adapter. It cost about 70.00....and
now I'm happy. I just gave them tire circumference, drive and driven gear
teeth count, and rear ratio. There are other tests you can do too...
