Hi -
My buddy has chambered exhaust on his '67 SS, with over-the-axle tailpipes.
It has a 360 hp 396 with a 4 sp. Mine is a '66 SS conv, same motor & tranny,
but I have two big old mufflers (make unknown) and 2-1/2" tailpipes. Mine
rumbles a little, but you can have a conversation in the car other than at
WOT - 'course who talks then anyway...
When we are out running around, and getting on the gas, if I am next to or
behind this '67, I have to watch my tach to shift, because I cannot hear my
engine! And understand, mine is not very quiet. IMHO, his is way too loud to
be even marginally pleasant, but he seems to like it.
