I'm driving my 17 year old son crazy because I'm building my 71 for
myself and not for him. He thinks we should be building a hot rod for
him....."You know Dad, we could do Power Tour"

I keep telling him that in 71 I was 17 and I wanted a 71 Chevelle really
bad. I finally got one when I could afford it. It took 30 years, but I
finally got one.

I told him he can build as wild a car as he can afford. That's what I
did at his age. Unfortunately, I could afford about as much then as he
can now.......basic transportation.

Oh well, waiting made the whole experience more satisfying for me. If my
Dad had financed my dream I probably wouldn't have appreciated it
anyway.
