These problems should be eliminated during the course of
a normal rebuild.  If you can find a good 350 core for
a reasonable amount of money it's definitely worth
considering; 350 rebuild kits are quite low in price,
especially if you're not looking for a massive increase
in power.  The first step is to figure out what kind of
engine you want to have, but if you want anything that's
even close to a good street performer the 350 would be
a far better choice.

Most likely not.  A PG will stand up just fine behind a
mild to moderate smallblock, and it can be built to take
quite a bit of punishment.
