  Ditch the 307.  you can rebuild a 350 for less money and you will be
happier with the result.  Or you can buy a GM crate 350 for about
$1300.00.  It will have a warrantee.   If the tranny is in good shape
there wouldn't be much reason to swap now.  Unless you wanted the benefit
of a 3 speed auto or overdrive.
