Tom,
I believe you are correct about the crossmembers being interchangeable
between the different transmissions for the '68 thru '72 Chevelles. But,
he was referring to a '66 or '67. They are a "slightly different breed"
when it comes to interchangeability of parts. This from a guy (ME !) that
has never owned any other year than a 1968. Come to think of it, this is
the only Chevelle I have ever owned. Proud owner since 1983.
