Hi everyone!
I'm Gellert Vinnai from Hungary (for those of you who don't know, it's a
small country located in eastern Europe), and i own a '66 Chevy
Chevelle. I bought it about 4 months ago and it was in very bad
condition. I started to restore it and i still have a lot of work with
it. At this time the body work and the painting is finished. Now the
main problem is that the engine is missing so i have to get one somehow.
It's kind of hard here in Hungary. It's possible to find good engines
but they are very expensive.
Last week a man called me, and told me that he's got a 350ci engine out
of a '77 Camaro. I looked after it, and i found out that after '72
engines became much less powerfull. It's got only 170hp, while in '66 a
350ci engine's got about 300hp. What is the reason for this?
How much is a used engine in the US?
You can see pictures of my car at my homepage. The images are in
chronological order and you have to start from the bottom of the page.
There is only hungarian version, but i promise that next week i will put
the english version there too.
