An alternative to the 2" dropped spindles would be to use tall
spindles from a later chevelle or B-body. You will get bigger brakes
(11" or 12") and they yield a 1" drop. So with the hotchkiss springs
you have a 2" drop total.
It may also be cheaper if you can get away without using the hotchkis
or Global west upper a-arms. I just did this swap WITH the Global
West A-arms and am very happy with it. I know of someone who recently
did the tall spindle swap WITHOUT using the aftermarket a-arms and he is
happy too. I can give you some names/numbers if you want to try this.
