Kurt .... There are many 66 and 67 SS cars without the BB ..... all of them built in Oshawa for the Canadian and export market .Tariffs on the 66 SS396 Chevelle were so high they were not sold in Canada and only got to our market in late 67. I own a 67 Malibu Super Sport document by GM Canada ... that came as a 283/194 but has since had a BB dropped in it. As for the quarter scripts on Beck's Car the Malibu SS script on the right quarter is correct ......however the Malibu script on the left quarter is not , those are not the kind of production errors that slip out to my knowledge.It appears to me that the script has been replaced for whatever reason and the correct one was not used.
