I ran a #10 wire from the battery to a Bosch Relay that was mounted on the firewall. The relay is energized in the key on position. Not sure which wire this is, but the car is at a body shop and I can't get at it right now. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, November 26, 2001 2:08 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] 71 chevelle HEI problem Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List ------------------------------------------------------------ Don, could you please describe the way your HEI's wired? Since your '71 didn't come with it from the factory someone obviously added it later. When I convert from points to HEI (or any other ignition requiring 12 volts) I like to run a 10-gauge wire straight from the IGN tap in the fuse block, if it's available.
