Very well done....mine was for sale for $5500...the guy was a auto shop
owner and he had two projects, a '54 Ford truck/350/350/12bolt and the Elky
(shop truck/daily driver)...his wife said that one must go to pay off the
credit cards. He had rebuilt the original motor to 325 hp and the tranny
(TH-350) got a shift kit and he also put in a 10 bolt 3.08 posi, he had the
build sheet and everything....he got a lot of tire kickers at $4k, got
disgusted and took his wife's edict to heart and relisted the car for
$4500....I was the first one on the scene that Sunday and bought it without
dickering....well worth it. Since, I've seen lesser equipped Elky's of that
year sell for $1-2.5k more. I am very happy with mine even though it's not
one of the "golden" years...I've only put about $2k into getting the air
redone and replacing a few things like the windshield and power steering
pump, etc. . I had always thought the 78-79's were good looking. I still
want the '70-72 BB, but will have to wait til I nail a few more boards
together...:)....unless I get really lucky......

>I was then able to sell my non SS the 2nd day the ad was out, for only a
>couple of hundred less than I had into it.
>Someone will have to give me web site tips for posting pictures when the
>paint's done in the next couple weeks.

I can do that. You'll have to tell me what programs you'll be using for the
photo processing and such.

>BTW I did fly to Plano Texas (Dallas Airport) to purchase my Vette last year.
>Horrible traffic trying to leave town.

Yeah, this is bad traffic city, but it's still better than a lot of others
I know of. I am happy to be back......no car clubs in the sticks....:)

I went to meet the guys from Metroplex Muscle the other day....very nice
people...more car oriented than the last "Club" I tried to join...this one
has no formal dues or self serving meetings, just a bunch of car nuts
getting together to show their cars off (and they are very nice)....I
talked to one guy for at least an hour about how he painted his own car and
other things he did to it....since I'm getting my business off the ground
(again), I won't be perusing the organized club for awhile. I will be
hanging out with these guys though....here's some pics of the meeting....

If the page won't load, try back in an hour...Geocities has gone the route
of charging for traffic....I just found a site that offers unlimited
everything for $4.95 a month (right up my alley) and offers free domain reg
and forwarding. http://www.hostonce.com/ I'll be moving my business pages
there very soon as well as my fairly extensive Elky/Chevelle site.
