I have a JW trans bellhousing on my TH400. After seeing a few bellhousing break and let the trans rollover like an alligator(wrapping lines, pulling radiator into fan) I thought it was good insurance. You cut off the original bellhousing(mine was cracked) and bolt it on the front. I also am using a CSI "flack Jacket". It is a carbon fiber shield that fits over the entire transmission. This component would probably do for most applications unless torgue output is high. I am running a centrifugal supercharger on my 70. I figure 550HP and 650TQ. 11.21@121. BTW it is a big pain to get to the trans bolts with all the equipment on my car.
