Hey Tom I will have to agree with everyone that either a 3.31 or 3.55 gear would be great. Right now you could do the gears and then do the trans down the road. Valid point was brought up, what series carrier do you have now? If you are going to get the 3.31's you better start looking now as noone makes them new, you gotta reuse a GM set. On the note of the 700. Mom's car has 3.55's and just loves to cruise with the torque of the big block. Although we were all set to put a 3.31 in it when we found out the housing was an early one. So were just gonna save it for the 65 and stick with the gears she has now.
