Barry Grant makes the Demon line of carburetors. He started out reworking
Holley's until he was sued by them and was forced to come up with his own
design.

Demon "perfect" carb? They are about equivalent to the other drag racing
carburetor tweakers: DaVinci, Carb Shop, Bill"Hardcore"Mitchell,
Chuck Nuytten, etc....

By the way, I have a Barry Grant Reaction Time 1080cfm carb. on my 71 502.
I get about 5-6mpg...on a good day, if I'm lucky, driving slow. I'm not
complaining though, it works great at the track.

CFM=cubic feet/minute=amount of airflow thru carburetor

I have never tried one of them but what about a Demon carb ?Is'nt that like a "perfect" holley ?? I have heard great things about Demon carbs, but is the expense really worth it?  Is it as "bolt on ready" as the Edelbrock?  For all of the Edelbrock people out there, which one would give me the best all around performance out of my 396 (which cfm??)  What does cfm stand for anyway?thanks,Lojac
