Hey dudes and dudettes ( former California boy - can you tell? )
Uhhhhhh I think I keep reading rumblings that aluminum radiators
are better than the old copper radiators. Well I wish someone would tell me
why. Copper is a better conductor...of electricity anyway.
AND .... if you ever look at old air conditioners that don't drain well, you
see that aluminum corrodes if it sits in water a long time. This don't sound
too great for a radiator since it will constantly have water in it.
I will have a big block, and of there's one thing I hate it's overheating!
So I want to do everything I can to prevent overheating....within reason.
Reasonable cost, reasonable longevity, etc.
I have a 3 core copper radiator in there now, but I understand you can have
them re-cored to put in a 4 core? Would 5 be better and could it be done?
Also, I am wondering what kind of water pump you would put on for high
volume / long lasting / reliablility.
Right now I plan on using a Dex or Dex compatible / no water solution.
What the heck is everyone else doing to keep the big blocks cool?
