what about the TH350?  I will not need to shorten the drive shaft and this would make the swap easier.  Will the TH350 handle a Big Block?  What is the HP and Torque rating of a TH350 vs. a TH400.  Is the driveshaft shortening a easy process for a machine shop to do????  Is it expensive??

Thanks for all of the feedback,
Lojac

Go with the 400 and save yourself a $$$$ and a lot of headaches.....

the driveshaft will need to be shortened for a TH400 swap.  A 700R4 may or may not stand up to the torque of a big block, i have heard conflicting stories about that.  The only other thing you will need to change is the pedals which is pretty easy.  Other that its about a days worth of work.
