Go with the 400 and save yourself a $$$$ and a lot of headaches.....   Kelly & Jana Hanna El Camino Country www.hannawoodworks.com   the driveshaft will need to be shortened for a TH400 swap.  A 700R4 may or may not stand up to the torque of a big block, i have heard conflicting stories about that.  The only other thing you will need to change is the pedals which is pretty easy.  Other that its about a days worth of work.
