The different locations may very well be dependent on
what radio was offered. I know in '67, the antenna mounting location
depended on what was ordered. A front antenna was standard on (1)
Pushbutton radio [RPO U63], (2) Pushbutton radio w/rear seat speaker [RPO
U63/U80] and a rear antenna (manually operated) had to be ordered separately
[RPO U73]. With the AM-FM Pushbutton [RPO U69] with or without rear
speaker, only a front antenna was available. The rear antenna was not
available on wagons or anything with AM-FM radio.
Quite possible that the same (or similar) was true of
the '64 model year.
