The antenna on the rear
was an option,it went on the passenger rear.The correct placement if you just
ordered a radio was the passenger front fender.I looked at them new in 64 and
it was the in thing to have your antenna on the back if you were young and
ordering the car.My girlfriends parents at the time had a 64 Chevelle SS
convert and I had talked them into adding it on their order form when they
ordered it new.It was only a $15 or $20 option then.
