It has always amazed me how people can spend tens of thousands of dollars on their cars and get so upset over a $10 trophy. My car is not and never will be a "show" car. I go for the cars and people. Our local club is only 3-4 years old and we have hosted 3 car shows. Last year one of our members was voted "best Paint". We did not pick it, one of our sponsors did. We got a few nasty letters about it from some participants. 76 registered vehicles and this was the only trophy out of 20 awarded that went to a member of the hosting club. So to accomodate the whiners we are not having any club members cars in the general judging. They will be in the host club "Car Corral". We have learned that you can't make everyone happy. We just try to make it fair. kevin d
