Sorry I don�t have pictures, but here are some tips.  The two mounts I
am familiar with are the small block and big block mounts.  The tall
ones are for the small block and the short ones are for the big blocks.
The short ones help the engine clear the hood.  I had a small block
installed with big block mounts, but could not install headers without
swapping to the taller small block mounts.

I don�t know a thing about 307 engines, so I can only guess.  Are there
other sets of holes to mount the brackets to?  Do you have an assembly
manual?  It might show which holes to use.  My best guess is that there
is more than one way to mount the brackets, and you need to mount them
the other way...
