It's true the engine blocks are essentially the same (except all 265's
and 283's through 1957 as they used front engine mounts and not side
mounts) and all engine mounts will bolt up with the triangular bolt
pattern, although their physical appearance and distance between frame
mount holes will differ.  Even big block engines will accept the same
side engine mounts.  The difference is in the frame mounts...for some
reason GM made them different for the 1968-71 307.

I have to ask this. I always thought the 265, 283, 307, and 350 were the
same block with just different bore size and different cranks. My
question
is why can't a 350  mount in the same place as a 307 ect?  Vernon
