Hmmm.. I just noticed that the original 50 series uses 5,6,7, and 8 for the tailpipe configurations that the others use 1,2,3,4 for. E.g.:
5 - in & out pipes centered 6 - in offset / out centered 7 - in centered / out offset 8 - in offset / out (diagonally) offset So, now you're wondering what you can do with that information. Well, in the real world, if you know you have clearance for a 5x10x17 inch muffler casing (plus 3 inches of pipe at each end), then you know you can use either a 30 series or a 50 series. 30 series are all 5-inches thick, and 50 series are 5-inches thick for original style or 4 inches thick for Delta Flow. So, if you also know that you need a setup for diagonally offset 2.5 inch pipes, then you need one of these: 52533 - 30 series 52558 - 50 series 942553 - 50 series Delta Flow If you have room for a 4-inch thick muffler but not a 5-inch, then you can only use the 942553 - 50 series Delta Flow.
