[Chevelle-List] Electric fuel pump in the tank

Thinking about using an electric fuel pump due to how long the Chevelle will sit in between starts. Will have a carb on it. I don't like electrics in geberal because I had one that used to vapor lock even though it wasn't far from the tank. Soooo thinking about putting one IN the tank.    Anyone else done that? Which one did you use? Any problems with getting a guage to work in a stock tank too?
