I'm lost John. Are you saying that the
bushing they gave me are for the front Control Arms???? It looks like the
bushings are the same size for the rear control arms, Upper and
Lower.

is lower rear and 12237 is lower front. These are for the front control arms,
not the rear.

Message----- I hope
someone can help me. I purchased, a short time back, a set of
Upper and Lower Rear Control Arm, under the idea that
over the winter I could blast them, paint and install new bushings. Then
this spring I could just swap them for the ones on the car now. While I
was at it I had a guy box them in for me. Today I went to Advance Auto
to purchase the bushings. They gave me what their book called
for,TRW number 12258. They only had two so the
others are being sent overnight. Well I brought them home and found that
they are two small. I checked the arms that I purchased, against the
ones that are on my 69 Chevelle SS and they appear to be the same. The
bushing that I just purchased are smaller than the ones on my car now. I
kept an old bushing that I removed from the set I re-did. They only
markings on them are:
Harris
FG
62538 B
63.
This
bushing looks to be the same as the ones still on my car. Can anyone
guide me to a correct replacement part for the above bushing. Thanks a
million. While I'm at it, I also need to know the correct Axle Bushings
for my car. (The bushing where the Upper Control Arm and the Axle connect
together-not sure if I have the right
name)
