They don't have an application to fit, but he did suggest I buy his catalog and package for $22 so I can build my own headers.  I may check into that, but I think I can get away with just the catalog...

Lesson learned:  Choose heads with ports in the stock location unless you want full custom headers.

As Sarge said, headers are the place to pay attention.  Before you buy any head (straight, angle, raised port), make sure you have a header that will work with the heads AND your car!  I have been running into this issue with my angle plug, raised port heads for my Corvette.  So far I have found a grand total of ONE manufacturer (Sanderson) who says their headers will fit my situation.

You can see from the pictures that if the center tubes were routed to the outside instead of the inside (swap the way they go into the collector), then I would not have had a problem at all.

So, what are the advantages or disadvantages and/or reasons for using angled plugs or straight plugs in a small block head? Do they work better with headers? Better spark angle for better ignition? Just looking at the options on aftermarket heads and was wondering which is better for what applications.
