There was no console with a bench. Actually your car even though stock is quit rare with the bench seat and 3 speed. just over 8,000 had bench seat Vs almost 79817 with buckets. I believe the Muncie shifter was complete junk. I've seen many who wanted originality use a hurst shifter body and a Muncie handle.
