The TH350 with your 69 ,SB 327 is a direct bolt in... The only Boo Ga Boo is
the
Column shift adjustment.. You can make the regular PG shifter work but your
kind of lost regarding the shift indicator.. You  can solve that problem @

As for the benefit of a High Performance mods done to the TH350
Not 100% sure what was  done... But for sake of argument .. Think  of a
Automatic transmission as a big  Hydraulic pump.. Which when  you modify and
UPS the operating Pressure. Then in a typical High Performance  rebuild
You my then can add heavy duty Clutch pack  So your Th350 is not a SLUSH
BOX..
