JD, The Elky is 2.9 inches longer than the Chevelle. It shares the chassis with the Chevelle wagon. I wish I could tell you exactly where the extra length is,but I'm not sure. I think it is only in the rear frame boxing. I don't believe it would take much modification to put the Chevelle body on the Elky chassis. All other chassis dimensions are the same. The Elky also has the boxed frame and extra body mounts that the convertible has. Hope this helps.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] 67 El Camino and 2 Door Hardtop

Hi All,

I remember recently someone on the list said that the El Camino Frame
was 4 inches shorter or longer than a 2 hardtop. Could someone confirm this?,
and could any one tell me if the body from a 2 door hardtop would fit the frame
of a 67 El Camino.

                                            Thanks
