I would agree! In some cases you might also need some insulation bandages on the headers to keep the heat away? (I do) My local dealer says "the bandages are better than heatshields"!
I have the same problem & it only gets worse so I'm going to change the starter a.s.a.p. & put some bandages on my headers! As I recall it it's the Powermaster I've bought!
