After having many different makes of cars a friend I worked with drove
up one morning in 1979 in a 1968 El Camino that he had and announced it
was for sale, I was 36 at the time. I purchased it, rebuilt the 327 and
replaced the power glide with a 350T, Holley intake and carb and drove
it until someone offered me a lot of money for it. I am 62 now and
have a 72 El Camino SS and a 72 Monte Carlo for the wife. Both
completely rebuilt in my shop.
