Hi; The 70-396 option was Z25; 454 was Z15. The car should have a blacked out grille, black rear bumper pad, wheel well mldgs, raised hood and the 5 spoke 14 in. sport rims. There should be a SS emblem on the grille,rear bumper and steering wheel as well as the front fenders. The dashboard panel should be black faced and have round gauges. Also the turn signals should be clear, not amber. Also should have disc brakes up front. hope this helps. MIKE.

Well here goes because of this chat room i have almost completed a 1966 chevell groung up thank u all not bad for a girl huh..................
but i went to a show today and decided to suprise my hubby with a 1970 ss 396 it does not have the original eng and trans but they do have the protecto plate can i tell from that if it a real ss it has dual fuel lines also a box lower control arms help i don't want to look bad helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
