In the Pro Street community, backhalving refers to the process of adding
narrower frame rails and wider wheel tubs for the purpose of running much larger
drag race rubber. My car was a former Pro Streeter before I purchased it and
converted it to a G- machine/protourer. That's the reason my car can handle such
large rear wheel & tire combos.
