Standard axle ratio for a 283/PG 66 would have been a 3.08 w/o AC or 3.36 w/AC. Codes to look for on the (probably) passenger side axle tube would be "CA", possibly "CE" if it has Positraction, or "CL" if it came with metallic rear brakes. A 3.36 would have "CB", "CG" (posi), or "CP" w/metallic brakes.
