Do you want to improve your handling at the same time? If so, you might want to consider using Global West or Hotchkis kits to do the swap. You can change the geometry of the front end and get standard or large disc brakes with their kits.
If the car is a cruiser and you are not planning to upgrade to bigger wheels or drive into corners really hard, then you are probably better off using a kit that lets you keep your spindles. I drive hard and push it into corners and so I wanted the advantage of the taller spindles. I have pretty much all the Global West stuff on my car.
