Anyone on the list have experience with the 621 in regards to tunnel clearance on a Chevelle? Chevelles in general, but specific to 66/67 would be better.

The 396 is externally balanced; the 621 bell housing is the one to use for a big clutch if you donÂ’t see the need for a scattershieldÂ…yet.

Hey Larry, The bellhousing your looking for Im pretty sure is #3899621 thats for the large clutch (11.5"inch) and 168 tooth flywheel. I got one off e-bay a couple of months ago, but you might find a better deal at a swap. or used scatershield for budget reasons. Also I have maybe a silly  question is the 396 internaly or externaly balanced ? Jimmy.C
