The mouldings you mentioned are SS. Just hit them with wax when you wax the car. Alum trim would benefit from an occcasional metal polishing. Stainless dosen't have to be waxed, but it will make them clean up more easily and less likely to water spot. I don't know what to tell you on the headlight/parklight issue. On the older Chevelles the park light lit when the switch was in the middle position and went out when the headlights came on. Somefolks like the parking lights to stay on with the headlights. It should be fairly easy to do this by locating the switched wires that control these functions and linking them.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Questions and advise

I have several things to ask you're thoughts on.

1, I polished the chrome trim for the windshield and
rear window glass (most of it anyway)with a buffer
wheel and products from Eastwood. My question is,
should I use anything to seal it after polishing it?

#2 Quite some time ago, discussion on the parking
lights on some early models don't come on unless the
head lights are on. Someone said the headlight switch
could be rewired to make the parking lights work as
expected. Can you remind me of that solution?

thanks
mike
