The windshield and rear window trim are stainless steel. There is no reason
to seal it after buffing.
My only suggestion is to hold on tight and work away from the center away
from the rotation of the wheel. If it gets away from you, particularly on a high
speed buffer you may be looking for a new piece of trim. I turned one into a
pretzel.
