Never really paid much attention but were any pre-68 cars designed to have the parking lights on at the same time as the headlamps? I figured that is how they got the moniker of ‘parking lights’ ? Curious minds want to know. That's a good question Dale. I first noticed this while fixing some
wiring on a 66 Malibu, I couldn't figure out why the parking lights wouldn't
come on with the headlights, but came on by themselves. It was perplexing
at the time, then I found out that's the way they are. I'm going to do
some research and find out if any pre 68 Fords or Mopars do the same
thing.
