I believe the cowl induction hood was optional and available with any of the 3 SS engine options. I have build sheets of several 396 and LS5 cars with the hood option and photos of a least one LS6 w/o the cowl induction system.

Wouldn't a LS6 car have functional cowl induction? A friend was just telling me about a week ago that Yahoo auctions attract lots of scammers and non-payers for some reason. Someone emailed me recently saying that he wanted to buy my "1967" El Camino and that he needed to buy it right away and wanted to know if he could fly in and drive it home. Any time somebody says he wants to drive it home, it's a scam. Not to mention that mine is a 1969 and it is not for sale. I didn't even bother responding.
