A skin also usually does not include any part of the sail panel, does not include the area between the beltline and the trunk opening, and sometimes does not include the doorjamb or even go all the way up to the beltline. The 1970 skins only go up to the body line above the wheel. When you install skins, you are creating seams where there weren't any originally, so the require more welding and grinding. Some people argue that the extra time and talent that it takes to install a skin is more costly than the difference in price.
