Now with maybe $4.00 a gal for reg it won't take long at all. and the 700R4 is sweet about 1800 rpm @ 70 sipping gas with 383 motor ac on....
To add to this the Elky at that time had a 350 in it, when the Wife installed the new 383 she wasn't happy with the shift hardness, she wanted it to shift harder as she had been driving her 1971 blown camaro TH400 in Dallas for 14 years. Called Greg, he said drive it down, she did & they worked on it for about 3 hours, got it to shift hard like she wanted! Bill NO CHARGE! They take care of you.
