Has anyone ever had a good experience with a crate engine ? I bought a small
block Chevy, crate engine, through Jasper several years ago to put in my boat.
It seemed like an economical alternative to rebuilding the one I had. Long
story short, it failed about 30 days out of warranty. When we took it apart to
see why, it had been over-bored and sleeved. Who sleeves a small block gas
engine ?!! Just wondering if there is a reliable mass-production engine
builder/rebuilder, performance or stock, out there ?
