Dan, I see the switch at the gas pedal. There are two red wires at the switch
going through the fire wall. however after it goes through the fire wall it
goes into the harness and Iam unable to trace it out any further. There is a
red wire with a connection on it near my distributor that is'nt plugged into
anything. however it's only one single red wire going into the plug end. could
that be the connection that goes to the damper. do you know if the damper wire
has a break in it near the distributor. Thank you for your help.

Bob,
The solenoid is triggered by a switch behind the gas pedal. If it doesn't have
it already you will need the bracket, the switch and a small harness that runs
thru the firewall. The switch and bracket are the same as the one used as a
kickdown on the TH400. The harness plugs into your fuse box and is easy to
install.
The hardest parts is putting the hole in the firewall with the engine in the
compartment.
Godspeed, Dan Solomon

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Electrical ?
Could some one please tell me how the cow induction dampers work. It looks to
me like there are two dampers. One outer and one inner. the outer is operated
by a vacume line and the inner has an electrical connection but I dont know
what color the wire is supposed to be. Where it feeds from and what sends the
signal. And if someone could send me a picture of their electrical damper and
how it's connected I'd really appriciate it. Thank you. from Baltimore Bob
