On my 72 El Camino the right side door has not worked in several years,
like the latch just half closed, wouldn't open or shut.  The driver's door
worked fine. Other day I finally decided to pull it into my shop to do
some upgrades on it as the restoration was done in 1998. Going to put airgap
intake, remove Pete Jackson gear drive and replace with chain, take fan off and
put electric fans back on, remove ac unit, put hydraboost brake system on,
ceramic hooker headers, torque tech exhaust system, disc brakes on rear, remove
MSD box and Comp 1000 unilite dist replace with D.U.I HEI, powder coat valve
covers timing chain cover water pump and new pan purple, fix the right
side door and also the driver's door which now will not open. Pulled it into
the shop, got out and shut the door now it will not open. Luckily I always roll
the driver's window down of any car I'm working on. Will remove the door panels
and see if I can get them to open that
way. I've scheduled a whole morning for this, hope it doesn't run into my
afternoon nap time.
