Lacey welcome to the group. My name is Clara and I have alot of animals including 5 Chi's. I tried the litter box training and didn't have good luck. When I set mine in the box to show them what to do they acted like it scared them to death. The doggy litter is bigger then most litter. It is made out of paper and it is hard. I wanted them to have a place to go so when it was raining or if I had to go out for awhile they would have a place to go but it didn't work. The crazy thing is they would sneak back to it grab some and run under the bed and chew it up. When I caught them doing this I took it up and haven't put it back down. I was afraid it would make them sick. All 5 of mine have been mistreated in some way or another and are scared of everything so maybe you would have better luck but this was my experience. Keep us posted and let us know how it turns out.
