Hi   I have a little bit of this same problem.  I need help, too   Sophie is not really a barker, but she does bark at people that come in the front door,  but just for a little while.  This is even if the people come over fairly often and after they have been here a while she always likes them. lol   This really doesn't bother me, but some of these people come over often, like my boy friend for instance, hehehe, and maybe it bothers them?  She does warm up after about 5 minutes.  So...should I just let this go, it's Sophie's protecting instinct, or should I be NICELY disciplining her.  What should the discipline be?   Thanks!   katie " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
