I am in agreement with Chris on the issue of feeding raw anything to my dogs. Also, I have been breeding and handling dogs since I was 14. I HAVE done research - very thorough research. I am a long time member of PeTA, The Humane Society Of The United States, The Animal Rescue Fund, and Going Home Greyhounds. I've read extensively about the dangers of feeding raw meat and bones to animals. I've also researched this issue by contacting my local Health Department, and The Center For Disease Control. I've sent an e mail to USAMRID (the military's department that mirrors the CDC). My husband is a dietary special for the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He'd be happy to set you straight on this raw diet garbage. Let's face it, meat is the decomposing flesh of a dead animal, fish, or bird. I do not agree on feeding kibble or processed pet food, including Flint River. I cook meals for my dogs - meat, veggies, fruits, and rice. No egg,  or dairy. Dairy can harm the dog's pancreas.
Egg contains too much cholesterol (so does raw meat, by the way, raw meat is loaded with fat). I feed only boiled chicken, so the fat get tossed out with the water, then cut the chicken in tiny pieces, and added some cooked veggies and rice. My 13 year old loves her veggies - spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrots, mushrooms - she'll eat the veggies before even touching the meat. She also likes bananas, apples, peaches and pears (cooked, not raw). Never imply that I haven't done my research. It sounds me as though you raw advocates have selective memories when it comes to research. You retain only the information that backs up your theory.
