Marsha   Yeah, I don't know of dog parks in my state either.  Just a fence does make sense.  With this story, what was strange to me was the attacking "big dog".The attacking dog was described as a Brittany or a golden retriever mix. The dog's owner could not be reached.  Aren't either of those breeds generally gentle dogs? (I don't know lots about brittanys)  I think it may have even been Chris, who was walking Bear one time and some bigger dog almost attacked Bear but he was quick enough to snatch Bear up.
