Sorry to hear about your son, and what happened to your Chihuahua. It was a unforseen accident, and you are not at fault for it. I had a similar thing happen to a kitten of mine, only it wasn't done by anger. I had a cat that had a litter of six. When they got to about two months old we put them, and the mother outside. While I was away visiting my grandmother four of them died. Thinking something was mauling them of a night since we lived in the country, I brought the other two in of a night, and put them out durning the day. This got them into the habit of running up to the door whenever it was opened. I to got into the habit of looking before steping down as there was a three inch step going into the house; and I knew the kittens did this. One day I was carring out the litter box to clean it. I opened the door; looked out, and turned to say something to my uncle (who was down visiting for someone's birthday. Can't remember who's. LOL.) as I stepped out. Just then one of the kitten ran right under my foot, and I stepped on him. He died quickly, and I was very upset. Infact I was kind of hysterical about it at frist. It has been several years since that happened, and I am still horrified over it. I'm glad he is getting help, and I truely hope the doctors are able to help your son. No one should die over an accident. Even though it was wrong for him to get mad enough that he hurt not only one, but two living beings, that is no reason for him to die. To me there is a diffrence in being a backyard breeder, and being a breeder. I to have been called a backyard breeder because I had a dog that accidently got pregnate, and bad things happened because she got pregnate. However to me a backyard breeder is a person that does not care about the animals, and hurts them on purpose by keeping them in pens that are to small for them, breeding willie nillie, and all of it just for the almighty dollar. In Ella's case I just feel that she is a very irresponsiable person, who didn't want to hear any advice that told her that it was not a good idea to breed her dog. I don't think she, or you are a bad person. I was kind of harsh in my post to her, but I was tying to let her know that she may lose all of her dogs just because of this one irresponsiable act. I do appologize if I was to harsh. I am not saying that she should not ever breed this dog. I am saying that the questions she asked were simple questions, and that they showed she doesn't know much about dogs. I also feel that she needs to learn about dogs, and Chihuahuas before breeding her dog. However as she said in her frist post that the Chihuahuas had already mated once, the female is probably already bred. Which means she needs to read up on whelping, and to contact the breeders of both the dogs to find out if there is any possaiblity that the pups may have a defect when they are born. The only other alterntive would be to spay the female. That was all I was trying to say.

Why continue to beat around the bush. You think I am a bad person because
of the incident with my son. Your entitled to your oppinion. I think you
are rude and obnoxious and you are the reason many of the good people we
did have on this group are no longer on this group. Geeee I sure do miss
Bill and Chris and so many of those who offered good sound advice. They
didn't want to deal with your constant critisim.

For all the newbies...anyone wanting to know about the incident refered
too, hey I'm an open book. My son has a lot of problem for which I am
seeking help. He has now been both hospitalised and sent to juvy for a
period due to an incident where he got mad and kicked and killed my chi. I
turned to my groups for comfort during my greiving, but Nonnie chose
instead to tell me I should kill my son. This is why, she wants to say I
am a byb. But...if you listen to post...you will see she considered ALL
breeding bad. She is anti breeding period.

OK nough said. You want to make this a personal issue, that is fine. I
don't think the bad blood between us is any secret to anyone. But
regardless of what you think about me, it doesn't change the fact that you
can tell someone that you disagree with what they are doing without
putting them down to the dogs. I emailed this lady...told her I too think
she needs to put much more thought and education into this breeding than
she is doing, but at the same time, if she is determined to do it anyways,
I will try to be there to answer questions, and help her out as much as
possible, as long as she is willing to learn.

AND, HERE WE GO....ANOTHER NONNIE/MARSHA ROUND BEGINS, I'm sure.
